The Sales Support Consultant supports company and team goals by building and nurturing relationships with our downline agencies and their agents. Responsible for providing support and education to Brokers International’s downline by helping them with illustrations, product knowledge and sales positioning. Assist agents throughout the entire sales process from case design, licensing, contracting and application support.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Handle outbound and inbound sales requests to existing agents and their staff by telephone and e-mail.  Provide sales support and case consultation to agents regarding potential sales opportunities.  Maintain and update agent information in company database.

  • Assist agents throughout the sales cycle until they are paid including help with licensing, contracting and new business assistance.

  • Maintain contact with agents/staff through outbound follow up calls on product quotes, illustrations, and materials sent to agents/staff.  May assist with outbound calls to promote Broker's value proposition.  

  • Identify & resolve potential pre-sale concerns and effectively work to resolve escalations.

Experience and Education

Experience:

  • 3+ years related experience working with carriers and agents.

  • 1+ years in related line of business. 

  • Must have knowledge of advanced case design and sales concepts.

Education:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Licensing:

  • Iowa Insurance license required within 90 days.

  • Valid driver’s license is required.
