POSITION SUMMARY

The Inclusion Aide supports students with diverse learning, behavioral, social-emotional, and developmental needs within Arc's expanded learning programs. Working closely with Site Coordinators and Program Leaders, the Inclusion Aide helps ensure students are fully included in program activities and receive the support necessary to participate successfully in a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support students in participating successfully in daily program activities.

  • Provide individualized support and encouragement to students as needed.

  • Assist students with homework completion and supplemental learning activities.

  • Promote positive student behavior and engagement using age-appropriate support strategies.

  • Support student safety through active supervision and line-of-sight monitoring.

  • Assist with attendance tracking, student transitions, and parent/guardian release procedures.

  • Collaborate with program staff, school personnel, and families to support student success.

  • Participate in recreational, enrichment, leadership, arts, STEM, and physical activities.

  • Follow all Arc policies, safety procedures, and mandated reporting requirements.

Qualifications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience supporting students with diverse learning, behavioral, social-emotional, and developmental needs.

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or actively pursuing Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.

  • Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and positive behavior support strategies.

  • Experience in child development, education, psychology, special education, social work, or related fields.

  • Bilingual English-Spanish proficiency.

SCHEDULE

Part-time positions generally work during before-school, after-school, and expanded learning program hours. Additional hours may be available during school breaks, intersession programs, training events, or special activities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to actively supervise students in indoor and outdoor environments, including standing, walking, participating in recreational activities, and responding to emergency situations. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds.
