Position Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic, high-energy Anchor/Reporter to join our morning team. This role is ideal for a take-charge journalist who thrives in a fast-paced, live environment and brings creativity, urgency, and strong editorial judgment to every broadcast.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary Live Desk Anchor during our morning show, delivering breaking news and developing stories with clarity, accuracy, and urgency
  • Provide live updates and continuous coverage as stories evolve throughout the broadcast
  • Report and produce general assignment stories as needed
  • Step into the field as a live reporter as needed, delivering compelling, on-the-ground coverage
  • Anchor a one-hour daily ARC (Authentic, Relevant, Community) program following the morning show, focusing on meaningful community-driven content
  • Collaborate with producers and newsroom leadership to develop fresh, engaging content and segments
  • Contribute innovative ideas to enhance the overall morning show experience

Digital & Social Expectations:

  • Actively engage with audiences across digital and social platforms
  • Create and contribute content that aligns with current social media trends
  • Demonstrate strong digital storytelling skills, including writing for web and posting video content
  • Help grow audience engagement through creative, platform-specific strategies

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in live anchoring, reporting, or a similar on-air role
  • Strong breaking news instincts and the ability to ad-lib confidently in live situations
  • Versatility to handle both in-studio and field reporting assignments
  • Excellent storytelling, writing, and communication skills
  • A strong understanding of digital platforms and audience engagement strategies
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and collaborative mindset
  • Passion for community-focused journalism
