The Claims Analytics Specialist Lead plays a critical role in supporting the Claims organization by delivering data-driven insights and reporting solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness across specialized claims lines.


This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong blend of analytical expertise, data strategy, execution capability, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of AmTrust’s mission, vision, and values, and consistently uphold the standards of the Claims organization.

Responsibilities

· Partner with Claims department leaders to identify and fulfill complex reporting and data needs, focusing on trends and patterns within specialized claims lines.

· Lead the development of a robust data infrastructure by collaborating with Data Engineering and Data Governance teams to integrate external data sources and defining a curated environment of underlying insurance data.

· Gain a deep understanding of business processes and the data that drives them.

· Design and develop reports and analyses for senior leadership and cross-functional teams, including groups outside of Claims such as Finance, Actuarial, Underwriting, and others.

· Quickly and accurately respond to ad-hoc data and reporting requests from Claims leadership and business partners.

· Mentor junior members of the team in report and code development and best practices.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial or operational reporting, data analytics, or a related field.

· Strong familiarity with the Claims and Insurance industry.

· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Power BI, SSMS, Excel, Planner, and SharePoint.

· Advanced SQL skills and experience with BI software suites. Strong working knowledge of DAX a strong plus.

· Hands-on experience with data tools such as Git, DAX Studio, PBI Helper, and Visual Studio Pro.

· Proven track record in developing reporting and data visualization solutions, business analysis, and project planning.

· Understanding of actuarial and finance concepts, including the construction and interpretation of triangles, headcount & productivity and budgetary reporting.

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.


The expected salary range for this role is $114,700-$140,000/year.

Skills Required
