As a Data Management Associate, within the Chief Data Office (CDO), you will be focused on delivering business impact through transformation of Data Quality management, specifically for the Markets business. You will be partnering with Front Office, Business Managers, Operations and Technology stakeholders across the Commercial and Investment Bank (CIB) and other lines of business (LOBs) to 1. Understand and document how data flows through JPM applications 2. Ensure data is fit-for-purpose and 3. drive the resolution of data problems that can cause issues or inefficient manual processing.

Job responsibilities
- Drives data quality issue level root cause analysis and resolution through effective program governance, process/data mapping and data deep-dives. Discuss and agree technical resolutions with technology teams to remediate DQ issues
- Discovers and documents data lineage to trace the end-to-end data journey from point of creation to consumption to support regulatory requirements, e.g. BCBS 239.
- Partners with Markets operations, technology and product control organizations to document data quality controls across the data lineage for critical data flows
- Implements and supports Data Quality (DQ) practices across the CIB, in support of the Firm’s broader efforts around BCBS 239
- Provides data quality advisory services on specific high-profile data issues/initiatives through focused project management and deep business analysis
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in JPM or comparable financial institutions within operations, finance, program management, data lineage, data analytics, data management, business analysis background
- Experience in working on projects or BAU focused on data quality, data lineage, data control documentation and metadata management
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Capacity to think laterally and convey an understanding of the big picture
- Proficiency in manipulating and analyzing large data sets in Excel (pivots, formulas, charts, etc.)
- Excellent communication, presentation (both oral and written) & influencing skills - candidate will be dealing with stakeholders of varying degrees of seniority
- Self-starter, able to work autonomously, with strong time management skills; efficient at multi-tasking and able to work under pressure to deliver multiple business demands on-time, to a high standard
- Basic understanding of the company's business practices and familiarity with the company's products and services – with a focus on CIB Markets products.
