Job requirements
- Location: Chicago, IL
- Hybrid/Onsite: Preferable onsite. Open for Hybrid too
- 1. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both backend and frontend development, with deep knowledge of PHP (Laravel) and JavaScript (Node.js and React). Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP is preferred, and experience with AI technologies is a significant plus.
- 2. The role involves working within an analytics environment and supporting analytics/data applications, requiring close collaboration with the analytics function. Experience in analytics engineering will be considered a strong advantage.
- You’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to architectural decisions that drive innovation and performance.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services using Laravel and Node.js.
- Optimize application performance and scalability.
- Ensure secure coding practices and data protection.
- Build responsive and dynamic user interfaces using React.
- Maintain and improve frontend performance and accessibility.
- Deploy and manage applications on AWS and/or GCP.
- Utilize cloud services for storage, compute, and networking.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Understanding of Tag Management Systems and data collection principles through a data layer approach. Has a fair understanding of the server side tagging principles.
- Participate in code reviews and agile development processes.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
- Document technical specifications and maintain codebase hygiene.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices.
- Proficiency in PHP (Laravel) and JavaScript (Node.js, React).
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with AWS and/or GCP cloud environments.
- Understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes is a plus).
- Bonus: Experience with AI/ML technologies or frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
