The RoleWe’re seeking a data-driven and detail-oriented detail-oriented Analytics Engineer (an individual contributor) to join our Data & Analytics team within the Growth organization. This role will take on responsibilities building and maintaining our foundational data infrastructure as well as driving a data-driven culture.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record creating accurate and reliable data models that power actionable insight and analysis. This role will use sales, marketing and ecommerce data to build reporting, dashboards and KPIs while extracting findings from complex analyses.
This is a high-impact role within the organization, with the opportunity to operationalize the most important business analytics and create best processes surrounding analyses and reporting.
What You'll Help BuildBuild and maintain ETL pipelines from various data sources (Stripe, Amplitude, Shopify, Klaviyo and other internal databases/tooling)
Work with cross-functional stakeholders in defining, creating and documenting company-wide single source of truth data models that power analytics and reporting (using DBT and LookML)
Create and maintain dashboards and visualizations using Looker and other tools to provide key insights to the Growth team or other cross-functional teams
Work closely with the Engineering team to ensure data analytics requirements are scoped and built into new Website features and internal tools
Develop robust QA processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity
Minimum 3 years of experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer or similar technical role
B.S. degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or other quantitative field preferred
Expert-level knowledge of SQL, experience using Python or R is a plus
Advanced knowledge of end-to-end data infrastructure, including using data pipeline tools, data transformation tools such as DBT and data warehousing best practices
Expert knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Looker, Tableau, and Google Sheets/Excel
A data-driven approach to performance marketing and experience utilizing large data sets to inform strategic decision making
Experience leading enterprise wide data projects, structured and unstructured, joining large and complex data sets
Highly effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to work closely with cross-functional partners to translate business needs into data-driven solutions
Be an Independent self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable owning a high level of responsibility
