The Role
The Analyst, Sustainability is a creative problem solver with a passion for data. In this role, you will dive into the intricacies of data—collecting, cleaning, compiling, and analyzing it—to support data-driven sustainability initiatives. You will contribute directly to our key sustainability targets by coordinating data collection from across the business, and compiling datasets to track progress towards our company-wide Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This role will own these data processes with an eye towards optimization and efficiency as well as support the completion of analyses required for internal and external reporting. A strong candidate for this role is results-oriented, has a keen eye to detail and strong collaboration and time management skills.

Your Impact
The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate and compile all data needed to complete Scope 3 Greenhouse Gas Accounting (product and materials-related data, inbound & outbound transportation, end of life, use phase and warehousing)
- Organize materials and environmental data results for annual Corporate Responsibility report and for submission to external ESG indices including but not limited to Textile Exchange and CDP (formerly, Carbon Disclosure Project), and assist in their timely completion
- Maintain data integrity and ensure high data quality and consistency across reports
- Design, implement, and update computer scripting solutions (i.e., Python, Visual Basic for Application in Excel, etc.) to increase efficiency of data processes
- Operate cross-functionally on data projects and collaborate with various teams to obtain data required to track progress towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
- Conduct research to support data and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) projects, and analyze quantitative and qualitative sustainability metrics tracked by the business

We’d love to hear from people with
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- 1-3 years of data analytics, environmental science, and/or computer science
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Excel), Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) for Windows applications, Python
- Strong understanding of industry sustainability concepts, including product and material life cycles, and sustainability metrics (greenhouse gas, water, energy, waste, etc.) -- how to measure, report them, and reduce their impacts
- Familiar with environmental benchmarking, Greenhouse Gas Protocol, and non-financial ESG reporting (preferred)
- Familiar with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Life Cycle Inventory Assessment (LCIA), manufacturing and complex supply chains (preferred)
- Knowledge of materials and processes used to produce items in footwear and/or apparel industry (preferred)
- Familiar with FlexPLM, and SQL (preferred)

$80,000 - $85,000
The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in Goleta, CA. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
