The Analyst Strategic Execution responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Analyze and execute transformative strategic transactions and investments.
- Create and maintain complex three-statement financial models of private and public companies for forecasting, discounted cash flow analysis, and valuation work related to M&A, A&D, and other strategic investment opportunities.
- Work with external advisors and internal teams to conduct financial, technical, commercial, and other due diligence efforts.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to assess market opportunities, risk / return profile of M&A, A&D, and other strategic investment opportunities.
- Develop and efficiently communicate investment theses verbally and in written materials with the ability to defend (or change) your position in a collaborative team environment.
- Prepare presentation materials and analyses for executive management, the Board of Directors, and other stakeholders.
- Support negotiation and coordination of transaction closing / structuring process and the post-closing monitoring of historical transactions.
- Research and apply critical thinking to industry trends, competitor analysis and other factors to support the establishment of strategic and capital allocation priorities.
Required Experience and Skills:
- 0-4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate development.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or related fields.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present complex analyses clearly.
- Strong project management skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of the Energy industry landscape and market dynamics.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Experience using financial databases. (e.g., Capital IQ, FactSet, Bloomberg)
- Demonstrated knowledge of commercial, capital markets and corporate finance principles.
- Experience preparing and presenting materials to senior executives.
Selected incumbent will be placed into the position that best suits their abilities and experience level.
