The opportunity:
- Our Deal Analytics service line is a fast-growing team focused on delivering business insights to our clients in fast-moving deal speed transactions and advisory engagements. We are passionate about designing data-driven solutions for our clients, turning data into value-generating insights.
- The team works with large data sets and leverages domain expertise in data engineering, data science, advanced visualization and artificial intelligence to serve our clients, who range from private-equity firms to large government organisations.
- We are looking to recruit a dynamic professional to join our team at Analyst or Senior Analyst level.
- You will spend half of your time interacting with clients and the other half working on data models & analysis.
- You will get exposure to value creation in your role and will develop commercial deal advisory skills within this team.
Day to day you will:
- Interact with clients' senior management groups on a regular basis to better understand their business and requirements.
- Create visualizations and reports that tell a clear and compelling story, where you will be comfortable communicating your findings to key stakeholders across a range of Deal Advisory engagements.
- Use reporting tools, applications, and queries or scripts.
- Build and maintain dimensional data models.
- Be comfortable working at pace with high attention to detail across multiple projects at once.
- Assist with identifying and articulating process improvements to aid our growth.
- Identify and proactively respond to new business opportunities to provide added value to clients.
- Keep up with new trends in the industry and with the latest technologies for data manipulation.
- Integrate data workflows from different sources using ETL (Extract, transform, load) processes.
What you'll bring to our team:
- A quantitative degree and/or equivalent experience e.g. Business Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Computer Science, Accounting, Economics or Statistics.
- Previous experience with Power Query and data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI or Tableau).
- Fast learning skills to thrive in a fast-paced, high demand environment.
- An ability to construct insights from complex data and concepts in a short timeframe.
- An ability to communicate and present to stakeholders with various backgrounds.
- Good understanding of data modelling and ETL framework.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude.
- An interest in the way an organisation operates, and like using mathematical and analytical techniques to help it to develop better services, products, business practices and systems.
- A passion for data, data engineering, data science, advanced visualisation, artificial intelligence, robotics, and machine learning.
- You don't need previous consulting experience but if you have worked in a client facing role or presented findings to senior stakeholders, we would like to hear from you.
- Experience with coding languages such as DAX, M, SQL, Python, VBA, etc would also be an advantage.
