About this role
The Analyst, SEA Executive Office is a role based in Singapore. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Southeast Asia (SEA), the candidate will work on supporting the operational efficiency of BlackRock SEA, driving connectivity across the platform, coordinating multi-functional initiatives for the firm, and formulating and executing strategy for SEA.
Key Responsibilities:Partner across the Corporate-Operating platforms on day-to-day business management
Support the SEA Executive Office team in partnering with the various Corporate functions (e.g. Finance, HR) on day-to-day business management
Work across the platform on country initiatives and office-wide operational projects
Drive local, regional and firm-wide connectivity with key internal and external stakeholders
Support local governance committees with requisite agenda and materials
Coordinate Town Halls and other internal forums/events, including senior leadership visits and client engagements
Partner with Corporate Communications and Marketing teams on internal and external engagements for senior management
Support the firm’s engagement in the local industry ecosystem, including senior management participation in industry and external forums
Drive internal communications, including through monthly office-wide bulletins to facilitate information sharing and connectivity across the firm
Work with the SEA Executive Office team, senior management and business unit leaders to determine strategic objectives
Analyze industry and market trends, as well as assess business performance, internal and external factors, to support senior management in identifying expansion opportunities
Work on formulating strategies to meet strategic goals including, but not limited to, organic growth drivers, business prioritization and strategic investments
Support the communication of strategic priorities and execution plans effectively across the firm
Support and lead cross-functional projects in support of addressing SEA regional and country-specific growth strategies
Support the maintenance and monitoring of risk and controls frameworks, as well as the remediation of risk management items and Business Continuity Management
Support Internal Audits effectively
Bachelor’s or equivalent degree with strong record of academic achievement
1 - 3 years of relevant work experience; financial services, consulting and/or strategy background preferred with strong technology outlook
Demonstrated project management skills, with experience supporting cross-functional initiatives
Excellent problem-solving skills, both conceptual and analytical; strong interpersonal skills and extremely high attention to detail
Self-reliant, self-starter, results-oriented and proactive; able to show initiative, be innovative and operate credibly with senior stakeholders
Ability to concurrently manage complex projects and activities, while working under pressure and with tight deadlines; strongly values being a teammate
Knowledge of and/or exposure to the SEA asset management ecosystem preferred: retail distribution, institutional distribution, ETFs, wealth management, marketing, private markets, technology, portfolio management and capital markets, and trading
As the role has exposure to SEA countries, relevant language skills would be an advantage but not required.
