About the Job
K1 is seeking an Analyst to join the inhouse Pricing Strategy team to play a critical role in the development & execution of high impact monetization strategies across our portfolio of software companies. As a member of K1’s in-house Pricing Strategy team, the Analyst will shape key growth strategies, address complex business problems, and drive transformations with portfolio executives & investment teams. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual who has a demonstrated passion for solving complex challenges as part of a consulting team. This individual will get the opportunity to collaborate with 30+ high growth B2B SaaS businesses alongside leaders in disciplines such as product strategy, FP&A, M&A, customer success, and sales.
Responsibilities:
- The Pricing Strategy Analyst will actively participate in the design, analysis, and execution of team projects across competitive pricing & packaging, strategic bundling, product monetization, and revenue strategy to drive financial outcomes.
- Work with other team members to directly engage deal teams, C-level executives, & functional leaders across K1’s portfolio of enterprise software companies
- Identify & execute key pricing and monetization opportunities for recurring revenue software businesses.
- Apply consultant frameworks to solve complex problems utilizing quantitative & qualitative research methods; including primary research, quantitative surveys, expert networks, & buyer panels blended with internal customer and product data.
- Analyze large complex datasets utilizing tools like Excel, Power BI, Sawtooth Lighthouse, Python.
- Collaborate with team to deliver concise insights & recommendations from large volumes of data.
- Develop quality project collateral & data visualizations to convey project narratives to stakeholders.
- Support execution planning for pricing & packaging recommendations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams across sales, marketing, customer success, operations, & finance to materialize recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Four-year degree with focus with preferred majors being Mathematics & Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, Psychology, History, or Economics - first generation college students are encouraged to apply.
- Preferred Strong interest in Strategy consulting, Private Equity, & the enterprise software segment.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience. Academic &/or internship experience applying quantitative data analytics, statistical models, & financial analysis to influence decisions & business outcomes.
- Preferred Base knowledge of SaaS financial metrics, recurring revenue, subscription-based pricing is a plus.
- Strong writing and presentation skills.
- Excels in team environment. A passion for learning & teaching.
- Knowledge of data analytics tools, such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Python.
- Ability to foster teamwork & innovation while working on projects.

As of the date of this posting, K1 Investment Management, LLC reasonably expects to pay $75,000-$95,000 + performance-based bonus for the position of Pricing Strategy Analyst.
