Job Description:

The Portfolio Management Team

The Portfolio Management group manages global funds across multiple asset classes for clients ranging from large institutions (such as sovereign wealth funds and central banks) to financial advisors and individuals.

The Portfolio Management team is responsible for translating Dimensional’s investment philosophy into practice and providing portfolio oversight. Portfolio managers ensure client portfolios continually pursue the targeted premiums, generate buy and sell candidate order lists, outline trading parameters, and assist clients to understand Dimensional’s investment practices.

The Role

Dimensional Singapore is seeking an Analyst for a two-year max term contract. Analysts are responsible for performing a series of daily tasks to ensure that our portfolio management and trading processes run smoothly, which include portfolio reconciliation and reviewing and responding to corporate action events.

Additionally, Analysts execute ad hoc requests from Portfolio Managers such as portfolio characteristics analyses, data requests, and research into relevant market and company-specific developments. An Analyst may also complete long-term projects that involve identifying possibilities for improvement in Dimensional’s portfolio implementation processes and executing those improvements to improve efficiency. An Analyst will regularly coordinate with portfolio managers, traders, custodian banks, and Dimensional offices across the globe.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with demonstrated strong academic achievement.
• Quantitative orientation (e.g., science, engineering, statistics, finance, economics) is preferred.
• Close philosophical alignment with Dimensional’s investment strategy.
• Background or strong interest in finance and financial theory.
• Excellent quantitative problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Intellectual curiosity.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
• Comfort with large data sets.
• High attention to detail.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Knowledge of SQL, Excel and aptitude for learning basic computer programming languages and software is helpful.
