The Position
The Analyst will be responsible for day-to-day support activities related to the Patient Master Data Management (MDM) system. The role will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Patient master data, and will serve as the trainer and expert for the User Interface tool, E360.
The role will develop data steward standards, while assisting in patient data governance needs and ensuring that they are maintained and enforced.
The role will work closely with the Patient data stewarding staff to address any questions, or training needs.
Relationships
This role reports to the Sr. Manager of Master Data within the Data Services & Management Team in the Enterprise Data & Advanced Analytics department.
Primary internal relationships are within Data Strategy, Information Technology, Enterprise Insights & Analytics, Privacy, Legal, and Compliance. External relationships will include other NNI stakeholders and external vendors as needed.
Essential Functions

  • Understanding of Master Data including:
    • Understanding of Patient, including HIPAA & other Privacy rules of consumption and access
    • Must be able to review and translate business requirements to IT support teams
    • Serve as lead contact for all CCPA (and other Privacy related) regulations, specifically processing the data deletion requests that are submitted in a timely manner
    • Maintain records and metrics of various inquiries including generating weekly and adhoc reports on quality and performance
    • Provide support for the data stewarding team including answering questions, assisting with training, etc.
    • Creates or maintains training manuals and or work instructions for processes and systems required
  • Data Steward for Patient data which includes, but is not limited to:
    • Consolidation of duplicate records
    • Patient Deletions related to CCPA (and other Privacy regulations)
    • Providing various data quality feedback to the team for future enhancement needs
    • Developing standards and guidelines of Patient data steward decision making
    • Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing) for various system releases
    • Provide ad-hoc assistance to various team members, and stakeholders
    • Collaborate across boundaries to ensure data quality requirements are being identified across multiple stakeholders to drive accuracy in data delivery
    • Develops change request process, analyze change requests, disposition and implementation alternatives and implementation impacts
  • Employs problem solving skills to efficiently resolve data issues and participate in managing ad hoc projects as necessary:
    • Provides knowledge, makes recommendations and shares point of view w/relevant stakeholders regarding the Patient Master Data Domain
    • Ensure timely receipt of data from vendors and ensure data integrity


Physical Requirements
0-10% overnight travel required.
Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, business, computers, marketing or related field
  • A minimum of 2 years' pharmaceutical or equivalent industry required
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Must be able to work independently and have excellent communication and writing skills
  • Organized and Detail Oriented
  • Ability to multi-task, and transition between assignments quickly
  • Experience in Master Data Management and Analysis a plus, preferably in Pharmaceutical / Health industry
  • Create or maintain training manuals and or work instructions for processes and system required
  • Should understand basics of master data management and have worked with some tool like Informatica, Realtio, Excel, or Access to manage data quality
  • Ability to learn
