What you'll do:

As a KYC and Client Onboarding Analyst (Middle Office), you will guide clients through their onboarding journey at MUFG, working closely with Relationship Managers, Sales, Risk, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of products and services. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with KYC/AML standards, maintaining accurate customer data, and supporting high-quality client experiences while balancing risk management and execution efficiency.

Client Onboarding & Coordination

  • Coordinate onboarding for new-to-bank clients and additional products for existing clients in partnership with Relationship Managers and Sales teams
  • Act as the primary contact for onboarding activities, including KYC liaison, document review, and workflow orchestration

Client Engagement & Communication

  • Clearly communicate KYC and onboarding requirements to clients, ensuring timely submission and understanding
  • Drive smooth onboarding journeys through proactive engagement, issue resolution, and stakeholder coordination

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure strict adherence to legal, regulatory, and internal KYC/AML requirements throughout onboarding
  • Escalate red flags and financial crime concerns identified during customer interactions

Documentation & Operational Excellence

  • Review and validate onboarding documentation, including account opening forms and supporting documents
  • Maintain high data accuracy and minimize rework through strong attention to detail and first-time completion

Process Improvement & Team Support

  • Identify and recommend improvements to onboarding processes, systems, and policies
  • Provide guidance and share best practices with Middle Office staff to strengthen team capability

What you bring:

You bring strong experience in KYC/AML within the banking industry, combined with the ability to manage complex onboarding processes and deliver high-quality client service. You are detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining compliance standards. Your strong communication and stakeholder management skills enable you to collaborate effectively across teams and support seamless onboarding execution.

  • Proven knowledge of KYC/AML regulations and corporate banking products

  • High attention to detail in documentation review and data management
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of relevant banking experience
  • Familiarity with credit policies, local regulations, and corporate finance principles
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to support onboarding and deal execution
  • Ability to provide guidance or support to team members on operational matters
