Primary Purpose:  


The HRIS Technology Analyst is responsible for the design, administration, support, and optimization of HR technology solutions with a primary focus on system integrations, reporting and analytics, and security administration. This role serves as a key liaison between Human Resources, Information Technology, Payroll, and external vendors to ensure data integrity, secure access management, seamless data exchange, and actionable workforce reporting. This role will identify opportunities to improve system efficiency, automate processes, and enhance the end-user (employee and supervisor) experience through effective utilization of HR technology platforms. 


Key Responsibilities 


Integrations & Data Management 

  • Design, configure, test, and support inbound and outbound integrations between HR systems and internal/external applications. 
  • Monitor integration performance and proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues. 
  • Partner with vendors and technical teams to implement new integrations and enhancements. 
  • Maintain data mapping, integration specifications, and technical documentation. 
  • Ensure employee, organizational, payroll, benefits, and compliance-related data is accurately transferred across systems. 
  • Support system upgrades, releases, and testing activities related to integrations and data interfaces. 
  • Develop and maintain error monitoring and reconciliation processes to ensure data accuracy.

 

Reporting & Analytics 

  • Design, develop, and maintain standard and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and workforce analytics solutions. 
  • Partner with HR, Finance, Payroll, and business leaders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into meaningful insights. 
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reports and analytics platforms. 
  • Develop executive-level dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) for workforce planning and decision-making. 
  • Support regulatory, compliance, and audit reporting requirements. 
  • Identify opportunities to automate recurring reports and improve reporting efficiency. 

Security Administration & Compliance 

  • Administer role-based security and user access across HR systems. 
  • Maintain security roles and permissions in alignment with company policies and segregation of duties requirements. 
  • Conduct regular audits of user access and security configurations. 
  • Support SOX, compliance, audit, and data privacy initiatives. 
  • Partner with IT Security and Internal Audit teams to remediate security risks and findings. 
  • Ensure appropriate access controls are established for sensitive employee and organizational data. 
  • Maintain documentation of security design, governance procedures, and access review processes. 

System Support & Optimization 

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for HR technology systems. 
  • Evaluate and recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency, data quality, and user experience. 
  • Support testing activities for system updates, enhancements, and implementations. 
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, job aids, and standard operating procedures. 
  • Provide end-user support and training related to reporting, integrations, and security functionality. 
  • Participate in HR technology projects and strategic system initiatives. 

Qualifications Required 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. 
  • 3+ years of experience supporting HRIS, HR technology, or enterprise business systems. 
  • Experience and knowledge of HR processes, organizational structures, employee experience, and functional HR areas like compensation and benefits. 
  • Experience developing and supporting system integrations. 
  • Experience creating complex reports, dashboards, and data analyses. 
  • Experience administering system security and access controls. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 

Preferred 

  • Experience with Workday, UKG, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, or a comparable HRIS platform. 
  • Experience with Workday Integrations, EIBs, Studio, Core Connectors, or similar integration technologies. 
  • Experience with security administration in enterprise HR systems. 
  • Experience supporting SOX compliance, audits, or data privacy programs. 
  • Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting and analytics tools. 
  • Project management experience and familiarity with Agile methodologies. 

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
