  • Analyze federal legislation impacting energy development, including tax incentives, permitting reforms, government energy procurement, and transmission investment and support advocacy efforts in these areas.
  • Collaborate with Development, Regulatory, Legal, and Commercial teams to align advocacy with commercial strategy in order to advance external market conditions that support project development and long-term growth.
  • Build and manage relationships with congressional offices, committees, federal agencies, and national trade organizations.
  • Develop policy positions, talking points, testimony, and executive briefings.
  • Represent Hanwha Energy in policy matters across the U.S. energy ecosystem.
  • Lead internal education on regulatory updates, advocacy priorities, and market design.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 years of experience in government affairs, regulatory affairs, energy market policy, or related energy-sector roles. Prior government experience strongly preferred.

  • Relationships within federal agencies and Capitol Hill.
  • Exceptional communication and professional presence.
  • Prior experience within renewable energy, grid planning, or storage technology.
