Responsibilities of an Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis:

  • Reporting: Provide timely and actionable reporting to our company’s leadership
    • Support ongoing migration and enhancement of existing Excel-based reporting to Adaptive Insights
    • Produce and QA regular financial results and visualize effectively
    • Coordinate and understand reporting requirements across key operating metrics
    • Collaborate with technical experts to design future state reporting and troubleshoot data issues
  • Analysis: Conduct assumptions-based modeling to support key company initiatives
    • Provide variance and root-causes analyses to supplement financial reporting
    • Partner with senior leadership to produce ad hoc analyses and other financially-driven scenarios
    • Identify opportunities to improve our current set of reporting and operating metrics
  • Data Maintenance: maintain clean and accurate financial data
    • Support daily and weekly model updates needed to produce accurate financial reports
    • Thought partner in streamlining data clean up
    • Maintain accurate data information sources across various platforms
  • Miscellaneous: Be a team player and ready to take on ad hoc tasks as needed to support the team
    • Own the design, assumptions testing, and output of the financial projection model for Ovative’s long-range corporate planning exercises
    • Cultivate a transparent, trustworthy, and ethical work environment by staying engaged, curious, and accountable
    • Support the FP&A team with other high priority items (e.g., accounting/operational process improvements)

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in relevant field
  • 1-2 years of experience in Financial Planning, Operational Finance, or Corporate Finance
  • Experience managing a financial reporting system (preferably, Adaptive Insights)
  • Proven track record of analytical acumen, structured problem solving, and drive for results
  • Strong professional and personable communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Proficient in Excel, MS Office, PowerPoint, and Tableau (experience with SQL a plus)
  • Can lead self, operating independently and manage multiple assignments and stakeholders simultaneously

Pay Transparency 

At Ovative, we offer a transparent view into three core components of your total compensation package: Base Salary, Annual Bonus, and Benefits. The salary range for this position below is inclusive of an annual bonus. Actual offers are made with consideration for relevant experience and anticipated impact. Additional benefits information is provided below. 

For this entry-level Analyst position, the base salary is $60,000. In addition, there is an annual bonus opportunity of up to 10% of base salary ($6,000).
