Position Title ANALYST - ENGINEERING DATA MANAGEMENT

Job Description:

Responsible for the processes, tools and techniques used to manage the SAP material/product data lifecycle to support Rockwell Automation's global business processes and long-term business strategies.

JOB COMPLEXITY:

Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of global business processes, systems, organizational objectives. Requires the ability to understand how end-to-end business processes drive data requirements and how data supports various processes in a complex integrated system environment.

EXPERIENCE:

Typically requires a minimum of 2+ years of engineering, information technology or related business experience.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL:

Requires a combination of technical expertise in master data management, Rockwell Automation business process knowledge, and the ability to understand the interactions between data and process.

Ability to effectively communicate complex business scenarios, concepts and technical information to all levels of the organization.

Ability to work effectively independently and in complex multi-team environments. Addresses complex data management issues in creative and effective ways.

Self-drive and passion for continuous learning.

SCOPE:

Involved in developing, modifying and executing company-wide product and engineering data management processes and associated systems that affect global business operations.

INTERACTION:

Regularly interacts with all levels of the organization on matters concerning all functional areas supported by EDM processes and resultant data.

Requires the ability to manage and lead the design and deployment of new processes and changes to existing processes. Networks routinely with key contacts outside own area of expertise.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Minimum Qualifications

2+ years of related experience.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.

Desired Qualifications

Requires basic understanding of product lifecycle management data (i.e. product masters, bills of material, drawings, etc.). Requires experience with SAP material master data structures.

Experience with continuous process improvement and data quality management is desirable.

Position Summary

Responsible for Engineering Data Management process execution, data management process design, data quality management and continuous process improvement to support Rockwell Automation global business processes (ex: Idea to Offering, Engineer to Order, Purchase to Pay, Issue to Resolution, Order to Cash, Market to Quote, and Finance).

In this position, you be trained and tasked to:

Create and extend standard material masters in SAP Create Document Information Records in SAP Create/maintain documented work instructions Create/maintain processes and forms related to material master data Search the internet for relevant technical data for commercial off-the-shelf materials Perform mass maintenance on existing SAP materials Participate in process improvement projects Participate in the engineering change process Create configured material variant materials in SAP
