About the Role
The Engineering Controller Analyst is responsible for all Engineering cost related topics of the Business Unit. The role acts as a trusted Finance Business Partner to Engineering leadership, ensuring full cost transparency, robust financial governance, and proactive steering of cost performance. The position requires a highly motivated, high-performing individual with the drive to take accountability, challenge the status quo, and actively influence management decisions.
What You Will Do
Cost Analysis, Deviation Management & Executive Communication
- Enable and support cost transparency across internal resources, externals, and project spend
- Perform deep-dive variance analyses (actual vs. plan / forecast)
- Present results and explain to senior management, including root-cause analyses and corrective actions.
Cost Improvement & Performance Steering
- Proactively suggest, align and support cost improvement and efficiency measures across SBU-IC Engineering organization.
- Challenge Engineering teams on cost drivers, efficiency, and resource utilization.
- Track effectiveness of cost actions and ensure sustainable savings.
Business Partnering & Leadership Interaction
- Act as a strong, credible Finance Partner to managers, project leads, and leadership.
- Influence decisions by combining financial rigor with a pragmatic business mindset.
- Support strategic initiatives, business cases, and change requests with clear financial impact.
Financial Planning, Forecasting & Governance
- Drive annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and outlook updates for area of responsibility.
- Regularly review and challenge cost structures and related assumptions.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities early and ensure proper escalation.
Reporting, Tools & Process Improvement
- Prepare monthly Controlling reports with clear narratives.
- Continuously improve Finance processes, reports, and planning tools.
- Actively contribute to automation, standardization, and best practice sharing.
What You Need to Be Successful

What Makes You Eligible
- Degree in Finance, Controlling, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
- 2–3 years of Controlling / Finance experience.
- Proven exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and cost performance tracking
- Business-fluent English.
