Reporting to the Manager, Capital Markets & Treasury, this role provides analytical support across treasury, capital markets, and corporate finance. The successful candidate will work on financing initiatives, capital allocation decisions, market intelligence, and liquidity management.
This position offers a unique opportunity to gain direct exposure to debt and equity capital markets, investment banks, lenders, rating agencies, and strategic decision-making within one of Canada's leading publicly traded REITs.
The role is well-suited for candidates pursuing professional designations such as CFA, CPA or FRM, and seeking broad exposure to corporate finance and capital markets in a dynamic public company environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the evaluation, structuring, and execution of debt and equity financing initiatives.
- Assist with unsecured debenture issuances, mortgage financings, term loans, revolving credit facilities, equity issuances, and derivative transactions.
- Prepare analysis supporting capital allocation, refinancing, hedging, and funding decisions.
- Monitor debt maturities, capital markets activity, interest rate movements, credit spreads, and financing opportunities.
- Assist in preparing materials for lenders, financial institutions, and credit rating agencies.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts, liquidity analysis, and financing recommendations.
- Support the preparation of quarterly Treasury Reports for senior management and the Board.
- Monitor debt covenant compliance, leverage metrics, liquidity targets, and interest rate exposure.
- Maintain schedules supporting debt, derivatives, guarantees, letters of credit, and financing activities.
- Develop analytical models and reporting tools to support treasury decision-making.
- Support daily cash management, banking activities, and payment processing.
- Maintain banking relationships, treasury documentation, and user access administration.
- Assist with internal and external audit requests and compliance reporting.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting requirements.
- Lead system admin for Equifax.
- Support acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and other strategic corporate initiatives.
- Identify and implement process improvements through technology, automation, and data analytics.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- 1-3 years of experience in treasury, corporate finance, capital markets, investment banking, commercial banking, public accounting, equity research or investor relations.
- Progress toward a CFA, CPA, FRM, or similar professional designation is strongly preferred.
- Strong financial modelling, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Demonstrated interest in capital markets, investing, and corporate finance.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex analysis into actionable insights.
- Highly motivated self-starter with a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience utilizing AI-enabled tools and technology to improve efficiency and decision making is considered an asset.
