Position Overview
The Regional Business Development Analyst of StepStone Private Wealth is responsible for independently supporting StepStone Private Wealth’s distribution strategy through market analysis, advisor consultation, and the exercise of discretion and independent judgment in recommending product solutions across the Broker Dealer and RIA channels
Essential Job Functions:
- Lead strategic CRM‑driven analytics, evaluate data within internal CRM, and develop insights that inform business development initiatives.
- Serve as a cross‑functional project lead between sales and operations, identifying process improvements and driving implementation.
- Develop and manage advisor relationships by conducting consultative discussions, identifying business opportunities, and tailoring product recommendations.
- Influence market share growth by analyzing advisor needs, interpreting market conditions, and advising on optimal StepStone Private Wealth product positioning.
- Proactively educate advisors on StepStone Private Wealth distributed products, competitive positioning, and make recommendations for their clients, applying specialized investment knowledge.
- Maintain advanced industry knowledge and serve as a technical resource on investment structures, regulatory considerations, competitors, and market conditions.
- Continuously analyze market and business performance and position to develop insights that guide consultations with financial advisors and registered representatives relating to StepStone Private Wealth distributed products.
- Respond to technical product and competitive positioning questions requiring independent analysis and subject‑matter expertise.
- Comply with all rules and regulations of selling securities as outlined by FINRA and SEC as well as any internal guidelines established by StepStone Private Wealth Management.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Previous sales experience and market/industry knowledge of financial services
- Experience in financial services involving analysis, advisor consultation, or strategic business development functions
- FINRA Series 7 and Series 63, or ability to obtain within required timeframe
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to handle and resolve customer issues and evaluate complex advisor needs and recommend strategic solutions with minimal guidance
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent telephone communication skills
- Advanced analytical skills, with ability to interpret distribution, market, and product data to guide strategy
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Work independently and in a team environment, with ability to prioritize initiatives and collaborate across teams
- Proactive and innovative self-starter
- Experience or knowledge of SalesForce
