Analyst - Bond Syndicate

New York, United States of America

Job Summary:

  • The candidate will work on the Bond Syndicate desk within Markets.
  • The main focus is providing support and transaction management assistance to the team.
  • The US Syndicate desk is the conduit for information between primary and secondary markets working closely with various groups such as: Sales, Trading, DCM, Banking, Solutions, etc.

Essential Functions/Responsibility Statements:

  • Provide support to senior syndicate managers with respect to regular pricing updates, market commentary, deal allocation and working with DCM/Sales/Trading as needed.
  • Work with desk/transaction management to ensure smooth execution of transactions including interacting with middle office, client onboarding, operations.
  • Experience with the B&D process including Reg M filing, obtaining securities identifiers, setting up of transactions within directbooks/issuenet/issuebook.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent degree and/or work experience, in Business or a related field.

Work Experience:

  • 1-3+ years of relevant experience in financial markets, preferably in Syndicate/DCM or related functions.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Attention to detail combined with strong interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.
  • The ability to multi-task and work well within a team.
  • Familiarity with banking and capital markets preferred.
  • FINRA series SIE, 7, 63 and 79 licenses are required upon or shortly after joining.
  • Experience with Excel & Bloomberg. Familiarity with Directbooks and Issuebook/Issuenet preferred.

Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
