Job Description:

The Business Management Operations Analyst/Associate will support the execution of operational and strategic initiatives across the Corporate & Investment Banking platform as a part of the Business Operations Centre of Excellence (COE), with a primary focus on US operations. This role will focus on operational process execution, cross-functional project delivery, and facilities coordination while contributing to the development of scalable and standardized processes across lines of business. The successful candidate will work closely with Business Management leadership and functional partners to ensure consistent execution, identify efficiency opportunities, and support a cohesive operating model across the platform. This role is ideal for a proactive, organized individual who thrives in a dynamic, high-expectation environment and is eager to contribute to both team goals and firm-wide priorities.

Key Accountabilities:

Operational Execution and Process Optimization

  • Execute core operational processes across the platform, ensuring consistency and alignment with enterprise standards
  • Identify process inefficiencies and contribute to the design and implementation of scalable solutions
  • Support onboarding/offboarding, access management, and workplace operations in partnership with cross functional teams
  • Support various day-to-day operations of CIB NYC offices including event support, scheduling, and coordination with Facilities, Reception, and IT

Real Estate Strategy and Execution

  • Support the planning and execution of real estate initiatives, including space optimization, seating strategy, and workplace experience enhancements
  • Partner with Facilities and Enterprise Real Estate to align office strategy with business needs and headcount planning
  • Assist in managing floor plans, seating allocations, office moves, and visitor requests to ensure efficient use of space

Governance, Audit, Operational Risk Management, and Business Continuity

  • Assist in completing attestation processes for application, folder, and physical access
  • Support tracking and reporting of key operational metrics to inform business decisions and support the quarterly supervision dashboard
  • Support review, maintenance, and development of Business Continuity Management (BCM) plans
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, controls, and governance frameworks

Cross Functional Initiatives and Project Delivery

  • Lead or support ad hoc initiatives across lines of business, ensuring timely and effective execution
  • Build, document, and implement standardized processes that are scalable and repeatable across teams
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of Business Operating Procedures

Additional Responsibilities

  • Execute projects and initiatives as deemed necessary by the Director of Business Operations or Business Management leadership to support evolving business needs

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-4 years professional experience. Prior experience in financial services, investment banking, operations, or consulting is preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including the ability to build and manage trackers, analyze data, and produce clear, structured reporting
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to work across teams and influence stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail with a focus on execution and process improvement
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively
  • Undergraduate degree preferred
