Job Summary

The Senior Supply Planner is responsible for managing inventory and availability, overseeing product lifecycle management, and preparing input for the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process. This role involves supplier performance management, engaging with market teams (IT/DE), and contributing to strategic supply chain planning. The planner will work extensively with system data, supply chain teams, and key stakeholders to drive efficiency and inventory optimisation.

Job Description

What you’ll do:

  • Manage inventory levels and availability, ensuring optimal stock control.
  • Oversee product lifecycle management, including launch, maintenance, and end-of-life processes.
  • Prepare input for the S&OP process, aligning supply forecasts with business requirements.
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure efficient supply chain operations.
  • Engage with market teams (IT/DE) to provide supply chain insights and improvements.
  • Assist in developing strategic business plans for the supply chain planning function.
  • Prepare, communicate, and monitor production and capacity plans, covering both forward and reverse logistics.
  • Work extensively with system data to identify trends and recommend process and control improvements.
  • Support master data management (MDM) policies to ensure consistency, accuracy, and control in data maintenance and application.
  • Coordinate with Business Intelligence and Analytics teams to develop reports, dashboards, and interfaces for planning applications.
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required. Must be able to work nights and weekends, with a variable schedule and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Technical Skills

  • Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail.
  • Influencing skills with experience engaging senior managers in executive reporting.
  • APICS or equivalent Supply Chain qualification.
  • Experience with S&OP/IBP process management.
  • Familiarity with planning systems such as Anaplan or other similar tools.
