ABOUT THE JOB

As the “Analogue Camera Product Developer / Project Manager”, you will play a key role in creating new and innovative analogue photography products including but not limited to cameras, lenses and photography accessories.

You will work hand in hand with our design and product development team in realising the new product ideas from ideation, concept, research, design and manufacturing. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, marketers and project managers, you will ensure that the products not only meet technical requirements, but also align with market demands while reflecting our passion for analogue photography.

This is an opportunity for someone who is extremely passionate about analogue photography and has already accumulated a high level of knowledge and expertise in this field, and is seeking for a position to translate your passion and knowledge into captivating products which will be loved by the analogue photography community worldwide.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overviewing new photographic product development progress, from idea generation to production

  • Coordinate daily product team activities, manage timelines, and ensure smooth workflow across international and local offices.

  • Work closely with engineers, designers, logistics and management to deliver projects on time and to the highest standard.

  • Acts as the main point of contact with suppliers and in-house production, maintaining strong relationships and negotiating costs, timelines and quality standards.

  • Monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and implement processes that improve productivity while ensuring strict quality and time control.

  • Facilitate clear internal and external communications, provide regular updates, and ensure accurate documentation throughout the product development cycle.

  • Conduct post-launch follow-up to drive continuous product improvements based on consumer feedback and internal evaluation.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. A degree in Engineering, Industrial Design or Product Design is an advantage.

  • 3-5 years in product development, project management, or product operations, ideally in consumer goods, design and related industries.

  • Knowledge and experience in analogue photography in terms of equipment, history, artistry and technique is a precondition.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, problem-solver with a strong sense of accountability.

  • Proficiency with Basecamp (or other management softwares), strong command of MS Office/Google Workspace is an advantage.

  • Proficiency in engineering 3D software modelling e.g. Solidwork, Creo Parametric, Fusion 360 is an advantage.

  • Understanding and knowledge in mechanical design, engineering and structure in analogue photography equipment (cameras, lenses, etc.) and/or other industrial products.
