The Role

We are looking for a qualified professional to join our team as a Backup Systems Senior Specialist, combining hands-on technical execution with strategic consulting capabilities. This role is ideal for someone who wants to lead initiatives to modernize and optimize backup environments, ensuring security, efficiency, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement new components and improvements for backup tools;
• Develop capacity solutions for backup repositories (local storage, tape, cloud, etc.);
• Establish and maintain backup routines, including data immutability, integrity checks, redundancy, and offsite storage;
• Plan and execute system upgrade activities;
• Review and enhance backup policies, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices;
• Evaluate and implement security best practices for backup environment;
• Perform cost-benefit and risk analyses in backup environments.

Required skill :

• Required solid experience in enterprise backup environments as NetBackup, Networker, Veeam and Azure Backup;
• Strategic mindset with the ability to propose improvements and ensure system resilience;
• Ability to act as a trusted advisor, guiding stakeholders on best practices and technical decisions;

Preferred:

• Certification in Veritas Certified Professional (VCP);
• Previous experience in consulting and projects.
• Collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams;
