As an Intern in KYB and AML Operations, you will have the chance to support Upvest’s smooth onboarding process support the company's growth. You will be crucial to maintaining our compliance standards and ensuring a smooth client onboarding process. Your focus will be on operational execution and supporting our internal teams. Specifically, you will:

• Learn how to collect necessary corporate documents (e.g., extracts from commercial registers) and meticulously review client documentation for completeness and validity.

• Assist the team in analyzing corporate structures and creating Ultimate Beneficial Ownership (UBO) charts.

• Prepare and execute client screenings, background checks, and targeted online research to identify potential risks (e.g., adverse media, sanctions).

• Support our Growth and Sales teams by handling incoming requests for documentation.

• Help with the completion of our onboarding documents based on your collected documentation and research.

• Perform sanity checks on client data to ensure the quality and accuracy of our compliance records.

• You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field.

• You have a genuine interest in Compliance, KYB, and FinTech regulation.

• You are detail-oriented, well-organized, and proactive in your work.

• You are confident conducting online research and managing multiple priorities

• You are fluent in English and German, both written and spoken.
