Americas EHS Regional ManagerPosition OverviewThe Americas EHS Regional Manager is responsible for leading the strategy, governance, and execution of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs across a multi-site portfolio within the Client account. This role ensures regulatory compliance, operational risk reduction, and alignment with client-specific Critical Performance Indicators (CPIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
The Regional Manager drives a proactive safety culture by embedding standardized management systems, enabling data-driven decision-making, and ensuring consistent program execution across diverse facility types (e.g., office, lab, industrial, and mission-critical environments). This role partners closely with site leadership, program owners, and cross-functional teams to protect people, assets, and business continuity.
This position requires up to 20% travel across the Americas region.
Key Responsibilities1. EHS Strategy & Program LeadershipLead the development, standardization, and implementation of comprehensive EHS programs aligned with regulatory requirements, client expectations, and industry best practices.
Drive regional consistency in high-risk programs, including: Contractor Safety / Work Authorization Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) / Energy Isolation Chemical and Hazardous Materials Management Emergency Preparedness and Response
Establish scalable frameworks that ensure program sustainability and continuous improvement.
Ensure effective implementation and maturity of Safety Management Systems that systematically identify, assess, and control hazards.
Lead the deployment and maintenance of ISO management systems (e.g., ISO 14001 and ISO 45001), including certification readiness and audit compliance.
Partner with internal and external auditors to address non-conformities and drive closure of corrective actions.
Provide regional oversight of risk identification, mitigation strategies, and performance tracking.
Ensure robust incident management processes, including: Timely reporting and recordkeeping Root cause analysis (RCA) Corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Monitor leading and lagging indicators to proactively manage risk and prevent serious injuries and fatalities (SIFs).
Lead and develop a team of EHS and Contractor Risk Management professionals across the region.
Drive accountability for program execution, compliance, and KPI performance.
Influence site leadership and stakeholders to achieve results in a matrixed environment, including where direct authority is limited.
Design and deliver EHS training programs aligned with regulatory and organizational requirements.
Ensure training effectiveness through engagement, competency validation, and documentation.
Support sites in developing Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and safe work procedures.
Conduct and oversee site inspections, compliance audits, and program assessments.
Ensure timely closure of audit findings and continuous improvement actions.
Maintain audit readiness across all sites.
Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental regulations across the region.
Monitor and report environmental performance indicators, including: Air emissions Water quality and consumption Waste management Hazardous materials handling
Drive initiatives that reduce environmental impact and promote sustainable operations.
Leverage data systems to track performance, identify trends, and support decision-making.
Deliver accurate and timely reporting to internal leadership and client stakeholders.
Act as a trusted advisor to the client by providing insights, risk visibility, and strategic recommendations.
Minimum 7+ years of experience in EHS compliance, management systems, or related field, preferably within facilities operations.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in risk management, contractor safety, or operational safety leadership.
Demonstrated experience managing multi-site or regional EHS programs.
Strong working knowledge of regulatory frameworks (OSHA, EPA, and applicable local requirements).
Proven ability to lead training and present effectively to diverse audiences (in-person and virtual).
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in standard business software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Professional certification (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) strongly preferred.
Experience implementing and managing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems.
Experience in complex environments such as laboratories, manufacturing, or mission-critical facilities.
Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority and drive results in a matrixed organization.
Ability to translate regulatory and client requirements into practical, scalable solutions
Strong risk-based decision-making and prioritization skills
High level of ownership, accountability, and follow-through
Effective stakeholder engagement across all organizational levels
Commitment to fostering a culture of safety, inclusion, and continuous improvement

Estimated compensation for this position:
115,000.00 – 140,000.00 USD per yearThis range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
