Chadwick School Alumni Relations and Advancement Internship (Summer 2026)

Position Overview: Working under the direction of the Director of Development - Alumni Relations, the Alumni Relations Intern will support various aspects of alumni engagement for Chadwick School. The intern will assist with communications and alumni relations tasks in preparation for a wide variety of alumni events including reunions, Chadwick Professional networking events, regional gatherings, and other engagement opportunities. The intern will also assist the Director of Development - Alumni Relations - to strengthen the Class Ambassador and reunion captain programs. Additionally, the intern will provide support with archival research and assistance, helping to preserve and organize the school’s historical records.

Hours: Flexible, ideally 20 hours per week to support the Office of Alumni Relations and the Advancement offices.

Responsibilities may include the following:

  • Managing the College Letter program for graduating seniors and alumni to be matched according to their college/university.
  • Helping to create a social media marketing plan for alumni profiles and other content on social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook).
  • Supporting strategies to recruit and engage Class Ambassadors.
  • Compiling and preparing Class Notes for e-communications.
  • Supporting the efforts of the Alumni Board task force groups.
  • Creating initiatives to strengthen the Chadwick School and Chadwick International alumni partnership.
  • Providing archival support, including organizing and maintaining alumni and school history records, digital archiving, and assisting in research projects to preserve historical materials.
  • Supporting the Chadwick Annual Fund office with stewardship projects for alumni donors and helping create new ways to engage young alumni donors.
  • Perform Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications, education, experience and skill requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated competency with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Word. Experience with Canva and/or InDesign is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Compensation:
Hourly rate is $18.50.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Required to lift and carry up to a maximum of 15 lbs., in a correct manner consistent with the appropriate training provided by the school.
  • Occasionally required to use hands to handle or feel objects, touch and use tools, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, bend, stoop, twist, lift, reach, push, pull, grasp, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl, grasp, talk, hear, and walk during the course of employment.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • May use telephone, computer, copier, and other office equipment in the course of a day.
  • Required to sit while operating word processing equipment for approximately 6-8 hours daily, with repetitive motion for typing and other keystroke needs.
