Duties (summary): The Allergy & Radiology Scheduler serves as a primary point of contact for patients requiring allergy testing and radiology testing as ordered by the provider. This position is responsible for coordinating appointments, reviewing orders, obtaining and/or tracking insurance benefits and prior authorizations as needed.
Our Ideal Candidate: A team player with excellent communication and customer service skills, dependable, task and detail oriented, and computer efficient. Must be trainable and able to work without cellphone in hand. Previous experience working with medical insurance is a plus. We are looking for someone who has previous experience dealing with medical insurance companies & prior authorizations.
Skills and Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Computer efficiency, strong data entry, and attention to detail
· Ability to work in a team environment and individually
· Punctual and dependable
· Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for an extended period of time
· Experience in a medical office setting is preferred
· Must pass a background check and drug screen
