Job Description
Algorithm engineer interns at Ambarella are responsible for developing highly efficient algorithms for our self-driving car, humanoid robots and a wide variety of Ambarella’s future products.
Responsibilities:
- Develop deep learning and computer vision algorithms and systems.
- Design, train, and optimize Transformer models and variants.
- Stay up to date with the latest research and innovations in multi-modal large language models, embodied AI etc.

Qualifications:
- PhD or master’s in computer science or electrical engineering or related field.
- Hands-on experience with deep learning and its applications to computer vision (e.g. object detection and tracking, semantic segmentation, vision language models).
- Hands-on experience with ROS 2 for robot control, sensor integration, communication, and system debugging.
- Familiarity with AI compute stack: Kubernetes, Ray, vLLM and PyTorch, onnx etc.
- Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++, CUDA.
- Excellent communication skills.
Skills Required
- PhD or master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field
- Hands-on experience with deep learning and computer vision applications
- Experience with object detection and tracking, semantic segmentation, or vision-language models
- Hands-on experience with ROS 2 for robot control, sensor integration, communication, and system debugging
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Ray, vLLM, PyTorch, and ONNX
- Strong programming skills in Python, C, C++, and CUDA
