Working in the Algorithm Development group, our interns will face the challenge of identifying and resolving unmet needs and challenges. With the assistance of their mentor, our interns are expected to take ownership of challenges and develop solutions. Our algorithm development inters require some out of the box thinking and creativity, they enjoy the privilege of exploring, testing and creating solutions but are also expected to conduct a through trail and error procedure and test multiple solutions to identify the optimal outcome. We will only accept the very top talent looking to work hard, learn as much as they can, and be part of an organization looking to change the world of medicine.

Areas interns will be exposed to:

• Robust engineering design and methodology include concept engineering, algorithm development, prototyping, simulations, and bench test setups.

• Data analysis and signal processing utilizing Matlab, data visualizations, atomization analysis, data collection and equipment control and communication.

• The science behind sensors and utilizing sensors to collect real live data of physical patient motion, physical characteristics of epileptic seizures and other motor diseases and developing automatic methods to detect those features. 

• Technical communication with various functional teams in product development, clinical engineering, quality assurance and more.

Qualifications:

• Experience with Matlab

• Lab experience and data analysis  (past internships, research, project teams, etc.)

Compensation Information:

• The target compensation range for this position is $30 - $35/hr. Compensation will be awarded based on education and experience.

Additional Information:

• This position will be onsite or hybrid at our Clear Lake location (Southeast Houston area)
