ALTERNATE ADMINISTRATOR
Pediatric Home Health Agency | South Texas
Part-Time | Variable Hours
Know a nurse, medical professional, or healthcare admin who is ready for something different — a role where they can use everything they know to help build something that matters? Send this their way.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
WHO WE ARE
We are a South Texas pediatric home health agency providing private duty nursing and therapy services to medically complex children and their families. Our clinical team includes Registered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses, and Occupational, Speech, and Physical Therapists. We are a small, mission-driven team and we are looking for the right person to grow with us.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
THE ROLE
We are hiring a part-time Alternate Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of our agency and assist with community outreach and referral development. This position offers variable hours based on agency needs — making it an excellent opportunity for someone who wants meaningful, professional work with schedule flexibility.
You will work directly with our DON/Administrator across two areas: keeping our administrative operations organized and compliant, and helping us grow our presence and referral relationships in the South Texas community.

Preferred Qualifications
- Registered Nurse
- Experience in Texas Medicaid home health, private duty nursing, pediatric healthcare, or DME
- Prior healthcare marketing, physician liaison, community outreach, or business development experience
- Familiarity with Texas DSHS home health regulations (Chapter 558)
- Prior exposure to regulatory audits, HIPAA compliance programs, or licensure surveys
- Experience with electronic health record (EMR) systems
- Background in HR administrative functions — onboarding, personnel files, I-9 compliance
- Experience with CRM platforms or referral tracking systems (even self-built in Google Sheets counts)
Personal Characteristics We Value
- You build relationships naturally. People feel comfortable with you and remember you.
- You follow through. You do not need to be reminded twice about a follow-up call or a deadline.
- You can move between worlds — organized systems and face-to-face relationship work — without losing a step.
- You protect confidential information without exception.
- You ask when you are unsure rather than guessing on decisions that carry weight.
- You are competitive in the best sense — you want this agency's phone to ring more often, and you take it personally when it doesn't.
- You want to grow. This role has an opportunity for full-time path and we are looking for someone who will earn it.
