Job Description
The Airworthiness group at ePlane company is looking for someone in design assurance and safety of flight controls systems for ePlane’s electric propulsion VTOL aircraft, to interact with ePlane design groups for the compliance of DGCA’s applicable design requirements for the Type Certification of the aircraft.
Technical Skills
Control Law Design & Development: Experience in designing and developing control laws for VTOL aircraft, including trajectory optimization.
Flight Dynamics & Simulation: Ability to develop and analyze flight dynamic models for simulation.
Flight Control Systems: Experience with Fly-By-Wire (FBW) flight control systems and actuator/motor control loops.
Software & Programming: Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, C++, and flight simulation software like X-Plane and Gazebo.
Flight Testing & Data Analysis: Experience in flight testing, system identification, and post-flight analysis.
Must-Have:
A Bachelor’s degree in Avionics Engineering/ Aerospace Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering or a related field is required.
Working experience in fixed/rotary wing aircraft/UAV/VTOL Flight control law design, flight dynamics modeling, integration and troubleshooting.
Experience in developing safety critical analysis for flight controls systems
Knowledge in DGCA rules & regulations specifically on aircraft Type Certification, design organization approval and ITSO authorisation.
Experience with ARP4754A/4761A/ DO178C/DO 160G/DO-254 standards
Good to Have
Master’s degree in Flight Control Systems or Aerospace Engineering.
Understanding of CS/FAR-23 or CS/FAR-27 regulations of EASA / FAA
Prior experience in working on Type certification and ITSO authorisation
Knowledge of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Lean methodologies.
Experience in maintenance, reliability analysis, and risk assessment.
Understanding of Prototype manufacturing of aircraft
Knowledge in preparation of technical documents and manuals for the type certification.
