JOB SUMMARY

The Airfield Operations Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the airfield to ensure a safe and efficient operating environment for both local and transient flying.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspect all areas of the airfield to include but not limited to pavements, markings, signs, lighting, obstructions, bird/wildlife aircraft strike hazard (bash), fencing, habitat management, construction areas, and foreign object debris (FOD).
• Operate a vehicle on an airfield while simultaneously communicating with the air traffic control tower.
• Effectively coordinate closures with little to no disturbance to flying operations.
• Coordinate construction activities on the airfield and prioritize discrepancies for maintenance repairs.
• Respond to in-flight and ground emergencies on the airfield.
• Familiar with base operations: maintaining events logs, flight schedules, flight logs, use of crash phone and emergency notifications, update airfield status boards and airfield discrepancy log.
• Familiar with airfield driving program and requirements with ability to effectively train new airfield drivers.
• Coordinate all aircraft activities with relevant departments to ensure continuous operations.
• Familiar with wildlife control devices such as bash cannons.
• Enforce a FOD free airfield.
• Work with other departments, agencies, foreign governments, and foreign nationals often to complete work.
• Coordinate day-to-day airfield activities.
• Performs all other related duties assigned by management.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Understanding of Notice to Air Mission (NOTAM) criteria and procedures.
• Have a high school diploma. An AA/AS degree in aviation is preferred.
• International Aerodrome Certified Employee (IACE) certification is preferred.
• Base operations or similar International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) aviation background.
• Must be able to obtain an airfield driver’s permit and have normal color vision.
• Must have a valid Iraq driver’s license.
• Must be able to read, speak and write English.
• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK CONDITIONS
• Must be able to multitask in high stress situations.
• Prefer one year of airfield operations experience inspecting airfields and working.
• Ability to live and work in harsh climatic and austere living conditions to include the potential for moderate to extreme physical danger.

• الإلمام بعمليات القاعدة: الحفاظ على سجلات الأحداث وجداول الرحلات وسجلات الرحلات واستخدام هاتف الأعطال وإشعارات الطوارئ وتحديث لوحات حالة المطار وسجل التناقضات في المطار.
• الإلمام ببرنامج القيادة في المطار ومتطلباته مع القدرة على تدريب سائقي المطار الجدد بفعالية.
• تنسيق جميع أنشطة الطائرات مع الإدارات ذات الصلة لضمان استمرار العمليات.
• الإلمام بأجهزة مكافحة الحياة البرية مثل مدافع الضرب.

• العمل مع الإدارات الأخرى والوكالات والحكومات الأجنبية والمواطنين الأجانب بشكل متكرر لإكمال العمل.
• تنسيق أنشطة المطار اليومية.
• أداء جميع المهام الأخرى ذات الصلة التي يكلفه بها الإدارة.

المؤهلات الوظيفية

• فهم معايير وإجراءات إشعار المهمة الجوية (NOTAM).
• حاصل على دبلوم المدرسة الثانوية. ويفضل الحصول على درجة AA/AS في مجال الطيران.
• يفضل الحصول على شهادة موظف معتمد في المطارات الدولية (IACE).
• خبرة في العمليات الأساسية أو خبرة طيران مماثلة في منظمة الطيران المدني الدولي (ICAO).
• يجب أن يكون قادرًا على الحصول على رخصة قيادة مطار وأن يتمتع برؤية طبيعية للألوان.
• يجب أن يكون لديه رخصة قيادة عراقية سارية المفعول.
• يجب أن يكون قادرًا على القراءة والتحدث والكتابة باللغة الإنجليزية.
