Key Qualifications
Strong background in ML and distributed systems
Experience with on-device ML and system development
Experience building and maintaining ML infrastructure
Ability to work effectively across multiple codebases, teams, and organizations
5+ years of professional experience as a software engineer, preferably in machine learning or a related field
Proactive and determined problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Description
We enable teams across Apple to develop ML solutions that power intelligent user experiences. You'll engage various product teams and use your expertise in various ML-based solutions and experiences to address bold technical problems in our next-generation products.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and building on-device ML infrastructure to enable efficient and effective model training, evaluation, deployment, and performance monitoring
- Collaborating with product groups to identify and prioritize machine learning needs and opportunities
- Working with Data Scientists and ML Researchers to design and conduct experiments to optimize model performance
- Participating in the development of machine learning infrastructure and tools, including model life-cycles, experimentation tracking, and data management
Education & Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a similar field
Additional Requirements
- - Development experience at the systems level with Objective-C, Swift
- - Understanding of iOS, macOS fundamentals and frameworks
- - Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as Pytorch and Tensorflow
- - Experience with Core ML framework and tools
