About Allied Outdoor Solutions

Allied Outdoor Solutions is an outdoor living designer and builder serving Houston, Dallas–Fort Worth, Austin and San Antonio. We've completed more than 25,000 projects, built Carvestone, our own proprietary concrete overlay system, and earned a Net Promoter Score of 69 against a construction industry average of 42. We're nearly 100 people and every team member shares in the company's profits.

Why this role exists. More homeowners now start their search by asking ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Perplexity or Claude who to hire, and many paste contractor bids into those tools to compare them. We want those tools to describe Allied accurately and to explain why we're the safest, most trusted choice in Texas outdoor living. You'll own the program that makes that happen.

The Role

You'll be the person who makes sure the internet, and the AI tools that read it, tell Allied's story accurately. That means keeping our facts straight, turning our experts' knowledge into web pages, articles, checklists and short videos, growing our reviews and third-party mentions, and checking every month what AI tools actually say about us. It's a new role, built for a recent graduate who learns fast, writes well and takes initiative without waiting to be told.

What You'll Do

Content and messaging

  • Help maintain an accurate, consistent source of company information, working with leaders across the business to confirm details before anything is published.
  • Write and maintain website content covering our services, our process, and what homeowners should know before hiring a contractor.
  • Run an ongoing blog program focused on answering real homeowner questions, with Allied experts as authors.
  • Interview our in-house experts regularly and turn their knowledge into articles, videos and social content.
  • Edit AI-assisted drafts so every piece is accurate, original and genuinely useful.

Sales and operations support

  • Partner with Sales and Operations on clear, consistent materials that help homeowners make informed decisions.
  • Share what you learn about how homeowners research and compare contractors, so the team can respond.

Video and social

  • Coordinate with our social content creator to produce short educational videos featuring our experts.
  • Assist with writing captions and publishing across our social channels.

Reputation

  • Support our client review process alongside Operations and Customer Care.
  • Help draft timely responses to online reviews.
  • Manage our listings on major review and directory sites, and help with local PR and partnership outreach.

Website

  • Work with our web developers to keep our site easy for search engines and AI tools to find, read and understand.

Measurement

  • Track how Allied shows up in AI tools and search on a regular basis.
  • Report results to the Director of Marketing with recommendations for what to do next.

What Success Looks Like

In your first 90 days, you'll learn our business, products and process, establish a baseline for how Allied appears in AI tools and search, and launch the first wave of new content with the Marketing team.

By the end of your first year, you'll have built a steady publishing rhythm, measurably improved how Allied shows up in AI-generated answers, and helped launch larger educational projects for homeowners.

As the program grows, this role can grow with it into leading Allied's education and content program.

Who you are
  • A recent graduate with a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, business or a related field. 0–2 years of experience, including internships.
  • A clear, confident writer who can turn technical details, like how a patio cover footing is built, into plain English a homeowner understands.
  • A fast learner who's curious about how AI tools find and use information, and comfortable using ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google in your daily work.
  • A self-starter who takes initiative, sets your own priorities and follows through without being chased.
  • Organized and persistent enough to get answers from busy engineers, project managers and executives, and keep a publishing calendar on track.
  • Careful with facts: you'd rather check a number twice than publish it wrong.
  • Comfortable interviewing people, working on job sites, and coordinating short videos.
  • Comfortable with spreadsheets and basic analytics.
  • Able to work in our office at least 3–4 days a week.
Nice to have
  • Coursework or projects in SEO, digital marketing or content strategy
  • Experience with WordPress or another website content system, or basic HTML
  • Familiarity with Google Search Console, Google Analytics or Bing Webmaster Tools
  • Short-form video skills: shooting on a phone, editing in CapCut or Premiere, writing captions
  • Experience running social media for a student organization, business or club
  • Interest in construction, home improvement, design or real estate
  • Familiarity with Texas, especially our Houston, Dallas–Fort Worth, Austin and San Antonio markets
What we offer
  • Salary: based on experience
  • Profit sharing, which every Allied team member receives
  • Health, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off
  • Hybrid schedule: in office at least 3–4 days a week, with occasional job site visits across our Texas markets
  • Direct access to leadership and the chance to build a brand-new program from the ground up
