The annual salary range applicable to this role is $130,000 - $171,000 and that may adjust based on geolocation, experience, and other factors. This role can sit in our US Headquarters at our offices in New Providence, New Jersey, or in our Belgian Headquarters at our offices in Hasselt, or be remote in the US.

Description:

We are seeking a highly qualified, focused, and motivated system builder and software engineer to join our live streaming AI (artificial intelligence) team. Your main focus will be the development and deployment of cloud-based, AI-enabled systems for processing and distributing real-time streams. This work demands comprehension of video development applications and frameworks (such as GStreamer), use of LLMs and vector databases, and close collaboration with our AI-enabled applications team on topics like API and interface. Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance real-time video platform infrastructure
• Integrate AI engines such as LLMs, video analysis, and vector databases; examples are Gemini, OpenAI, and Meta’s open source tools
• Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend services
• Research innovative ways to anticipate and address both client and internal stakeholder needs
• Collaborate with other business functions to meet required deadlines
• Interface with AI-based applications developers

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience building video applications using frameworks such as Gstreamer
• Demonstrated understanding of and experience with network and data transfer protocols such as SRT, RTMP
• Experience with media formats (MP4, WebM, MPEG-TS), codecs (AVC, HEVC, VP8, AAC, Opus) and video conferencing protocols/standards
• 2+ years working in Python
• Extensive experience with API access into existing AI engines and LLMs
• Familiarity with token budget, API resourcing, and authentication methods
  

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience with AWS or other cloud providers
• Experience delivering live video streams using servers such as Wowza, Nimble or Haivision
• Experience with video capabilities such as captioning (SRT / WebVTT / TTML) and dynamic advertising (DAI)
• Open source contributions via platforms such as github
• A demonstrated history of design skills and problem-solving abilities
• BA, BS, or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technology field, or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree
