In this role, you will own the full customer value lifecycle—ensuring that every solution we propose is both strategically sound and successfully delivered. You will translate customer challenges and opportunities into clear, well-scoped GenAI solutions backed by a strong business case.
Value Engineer role is involved in every stage of the customer lifecycle—from identifying use cases in the Purchase Phase, to overseeing solution development in the Build & Deploy Phase, to driving training and adoption in the Onboard & Adopt Phase, and finally supporting renewals and new opportunities in the Expand Phase.
Your ResponsibilitiesPurchase Phase
Prepare and deliver demos and support Sector Experts in use case identification
Translate domain requirements from Business units into GenAI solution requirements and acceptance tests
Estimate technical effort and determine whether it is an economical case and an GenAI-fit case
Align solution scope with Incubation teams in Solution Factory for feasibility and approach
Prepare the Solution Factory discovery workshop in close alignment with the Incubation Team
Build business cases including value hypothesis, drivers, KPIs, TCO, ROI, etc.
Build & Deploy Phase
Oversee solution build and deployment as the face to the customer, acting as PM for smaller implementations
Report progress to the customer and manage escalations
Coordinate & run user acceptance tests at the end of the deploy phase
Support commercial negotiations for operational use of custom apps
Onboard & Adopt Phase
Design tailored onboarding and adoption plans by persona and workflow in close alignment with the customer
Adoption and change management
Conduct GenAI 101 and end user training for custom apps, establish operating models and champions
Closely monitor and report on customer health and track value realization vs baseline
Run QBRs and regularly visit customers to build trust and personal relationships
Create advocacy assets with the customer and capture success stories and references
Expand Phase
Fully own the renewal including forecasts and go to green plans for assigned accounts
For smaller accounts, drive expansions by identifying, qualifying, scoping new use cases and processing the commercials (for bigger accounts, this is entirely owned by Strategic Account Developers)
Strong technical background with the ability to understand data, GenAI concepts, and translate business needs into clear solution requirements.
Experience in value discovery and use-case prioritization, especially in tech or data-driven environments.
Solid stakeholder and project management skills, working effectively with both business and IT teams.
Ability to estimate technical effort and plan delivery in a structured and realistic way.
Skilled in workshops and demos, including preparation, facilitation, and clear storytelling.
Experience creating and delivering trainings for different user groups.
Commercial mindset, able to support renewals, identify expansion opportunities, and understand the financial impact of solutions.
Curiosity and drive to learn, especially about processes in industrial and public sector environments.
Fluent in German and English
