Description

Systems Engineering has spent years building the relationships, trust, and technical credibility that are the foundation of great technology & security partnerships. AI is now one of the most significant forces reshaping how our clients work and we're uniquely positioned to guide them through it. The AI Solutions Consultant role is how we turn that positioning into a differentiated practice, amplifying the groundwork we've already laid with intentional, client-centered AI expertise.

About This Role

Systems Engineering is growing its AI practice and we're looking for a strategic, client-focused AI Solutions Consultant to help our clients navigate the AI landscape with clarity and confidence. In this role, you won't be focused on building AI systems - you'll be making sure the right ones get built, for the right reasons, and that organizations actually adopt and benefit from them. You'll lead discovery, map workflows, facilitate stakeholder conversations, develop the business case, and guide clients through change. You'll partner closely with our AI Engineer to bridge the gap between business vision and technical execution. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, people, and technology.

What You'll Do

  • Lead AI use case discovery and opportunity assessments with clients.
  • Map business processes and workflows to identify where AI delivers the highest value.
  • Build and present ROI-driven business cases to executive stakeholders.
  • Manage client relationships and serve as a trusted strategic advisor throughout engagements
  • Facilitate workshops, alignment sessions, and change management planning.
  • Translate business needs into clear technical requirements for our AI engineering team.
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations and project deliverables.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of our AI consulting methodology and internal playbooks.
  • Support client adoption by guiding end users through new AI-enabled workflows, including targeted training sessions and practical enablement.
  • Reinforce successful AI adoption by facilitating end-user training and helping teams integrate new tools into their day-to-day operations

Requirements

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • 3+ years in consulting, business analysis, process improvement, or a client-facing strategy role.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and executive presentation skills.
  • A genuine curiosity about AI and a solid understanding of its practical business applications.
  • Ability to map workflows, structure ambiguous problems, and drive stakeholder alignment.
  • Project management experience with a track record of delivering on time.
  • A collaborative, low-ego approach - you work well with technical partners and non-technical clients alike.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward action, ownership, and helping build a growing AI practice.
  • Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, identifies opportunities, and drives initiatives from concept through delivery.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience in an MSP or technology services environment.
  • Hands-on involvement in AI or automation projects.
  • Change management certification or methodology experience.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft AI ecosystem and how tools like Copilot and Azure AI can be applied to improve workflows and productivity.

What Sets You Apart

You bring the rare combination of business acumen, people skills, and AI fluency. You're as comfortable in a C-suite conversation as you are digging into a process map. You operate with entrepreneurial energy, a strong ethical compass, and a genuine commitment to delivering value, not just deliverables.

Due to the nature of our business and the requirements of ITAR regulations, this role may require access to controlled information and technology. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents and be willing to undergo a thorough background check as part of the employment process.
