Who are we looking for?
BrightLink is seeking a motivated and curious Summer Intern to join our team in developing innovative software for the professional certification market. This internship is designed for a student with a strong interest in technology creation and artificial intelligence. You’ll work primarily with AI-driven tools to create technology that supports our company's mission while also exploring the latest advancements in AI software development. This role is a unique opportunity to contribute to real-world products and experiment with cutting-edge technology in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Develop software for professional certification programs using AI-based tools and frameworks
- Experiment with emerging AI technologies to identify new ways they can enhance our products or workflows
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that aligns with project requirements
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and code reviews to refine ideas and improve solutions
- Test and debug software to ensure functionality and reliability for end users
- Provide regular updates on your progress and findings to the team, sharing insights from your AI experiments
- Work alongside experienced developers to learn industry best practices and approaches to problem-solving
Experience/Qualifications
- Basic understanding of programming concepts (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or similar languages)
- Interest in artificial intelligence and its applications in software development
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to tackle new challenges
- Good communication skills to share ideas and ask questions effectively
- Strong generative skills - ideating rapidly to propose solutions
Not Required, but a Plus
- Familiarity with web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) or SaaS platforms
- Exposure to version control systems like Git
- Interest in the professional credentialing or education technology space
