AI Platform Engineer

We build nearly all of our code with Claude. That makes us fast, and it makes the quality of our tooling the single biggest lever on whether that speed is an advantage or a liability. This role owns that lever.

What you'll do

• Build the guardrails our AI tools run inside: permissions, sandboxing, and the rules that decide what an agent can change without a human in the loop

• Rework our CI/CD so it's designed for agent-generated changes, not retrofitted for them

• Build automated quality control for LLM-written code: static analysis, test-coverage gates, dependency and secrets scanning, regression detection

• Own the release gate. You define what blocks a deploy and you have the authority to stop one

• Work directly with our product managers, most of whom ship real features through vibe coding, to give them tooling and patterns that make their output safe by default

• Implement and monitor technical compliance with our ISO 27001 and GDPR requirements, working to standards set by our InfoSec Officer: control automation, evidence collection, and alerting when something drifts out of policy

What we're looking for

• Strong engineering fundamentals and at least 3 years in a product engineering team. A degree in computer science or a related field is one way to show this, not the only one

• Solid experience with GCP or a comparable cloud platform

• Proficiency with Terraform and Terragrunt, managing real infrastructure across multiple environments

• Real DevOps background: pipelines, observability, incident response

• Fluency in at least one scripting language for building internal tooling

• Genuine technical curiosity about where AI engineering is heading, not just enthusiasm for using the tools

• Comfort operating with high autonomy on problems no one has a playbook for yet, and working closely with our InfoSec Officer to turn policy into working controls

• The judgment to hold a release when something isn't ready, and the communication skills to make that call stick without becoming a bottleneck
