Our Quantitative Research and Engineering team is focused on building an advanced research platform that supports large volumes of data and harnesses compute at scale to unlock new frontiers in applied AI/ML. Our mandate is not only to produce new strategies across our investment business, but to collaborate cross-functionally to bring our AI/ML expertise to any relevant system,challenge or opportunity across the firm. Lastly, we are incubating ambitious research projects across various domains of machine intelligence to redefine quantitative finance.

As an AI/ML Engineer, you will work closely with researchers and domain experts to contribute to our internal modeling framework, and improve the training and inference of our models. You will enable researchers to iterate faster on new ideas, and you will work in an environment where you will get to learn continuously about the state of the art in AI research in order to develop novel tools and automations across the trading pipeline.

At Libero, we care about delivering data at high velocity and volume to researchers, and bridging the gap between research and production: you will contribute to streamlining this infrastructure for performance. You must be rigorous and produce high quality code, test coverage and documentation in a highly collaborative environment, and will have to become a product owner of the solutions you develop for the company.

We are seeking engineers who have experience handling large datasets in the cloud, and who can manage the streaming and distributed compute required to train large models and produce inference at scale. We value professionals who are constantly looking to learn and share back to the group. We believe our long-term success will be the result of a team effort.

• Implement algorithms and streamline usage of new techniques by integrating them into a common research framework relying on a scalable infrastructure

• Support researchers in the handling of large datasets, from onboarding to transformations and release into the research and production environments

• Maintain and optimize our Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, produce documentation, and manage container-base deployments

• Design and implement the automation of tasks and processes along the machine learning lifecycle, from data collection, to model training and deployment in production

• Collaborate with other engineers and power users cross-functionally to ship functionalities aligned with the business needs

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field

• 2-3 years of experience with cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, Azure

• Experience with building and maintaining machine learning platforms at scale, including experiment tracking, model management, and deployment

• Strong expertise in designing efficient and well-architected microservices

• Ability to collaborate with people from diverse technical backgrounds and learn fast from domain experts

• Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow

• Exposure to training and inference of foundation models, or fine-tuning of LLMs
