AI Engineer

We’re seeking an experienced AI Engineer who will follow and propagate best practices for AI development.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy AI models and solutions to address complex business and technical problems, handling every step of the end-to-end pipeline from data ingestion to monitoring.
• Conduct feasibility studies, prototyping, and benchmarking of AI solutions.
• Optimize models for performance, scalability, cost efficiency, and compliance with data governance standards.
• Collaborate with software developers to ensure seamless integration of AI models into production systems.
• Follow and propagate best practices for AI development, including code quality, reproducibility, and documentation.
• Provide technical guidance to adjacent roles within project teams (e.g. DevOps, QA’s, …).
• Engage both in pre-sales calls with potential clients as well as in support calls with existing clients.
• Ensure responsible AI practices, including fairness, transparency, and explainability in model design and deployment.

Technical skills

Must have:

• Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in AI/ML solution design and architecture.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
• In-depth understanding of generative artificial intelligence and machine learning, including state-of-the-art algorithms, frameworks/tools, best practices, and challenges in scaling AI.
• Experience training/fine-tuning language models.

Nice to have:

• Experience with machine learning pipelines and MLOps practices.
• Experience with data engineering and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of ethical AI principles, regulatory considerations, and responsible AI practices.
• Proven experience working with enterprise clients, including stakeholder management and relationship building.
• Experience deploying AI solutions in production environments at scale.
• Familiarity with integrating AI solutions into enterprise workflows, including automation, analytics, and decision support systems.

Nice to have soft skills:

• Ability to think strategically and develop long-term AI (adoption) roadmaps.
• Strong negotiation skills to manage client expectations, address concerns, and find mutually beneficial solutions.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
