Dark Wolf is seeking a highly motivated and self-directed professional to fill the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer to support our team in Northern Virginia. There are two available roles to be filled. Mid-Level and Senior Principal level.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement scalable AI/ML computing infrastructures and application stacks.
- Build and deploy machine learning models and AI solutions from scratch.
- Transform machine learning models into APIs for integration with other applications.
- Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver AI solutions.
- Conduct statistical analysis and interpret results to guide and optimize decision-making.
- Manage data ingestion, preprocessing, and feature engineering to ensure data quality for model training.
- Optimize AI algorithms for performance, scalability, and efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest AI and machine learning advancements, research, and tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve AI-related issues, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of AI applications.
- Document architecture roadmaps, reference architectures, and standard operating procedures for AI solutions.
- Potentially lead cross-functional teams in identifying and prioritizing areas where AI can provide business benefits.
- Advise stakeholders on AI strategy, technology, and policy issues.
- Automate AI infrastructures for the data science team.
- Evaluate and implement best practices in AI/ML, data mining, and analytics.
Qualifications:
- Master’s in Computer Vision, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or related field.
- 10+ years experience with 3+ years of demonstrated and related industry experience
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, and/or R.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, and/or PyTorch.
- Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms (supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning), deep learning, and neural networks.
- Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.\Familiarity with data management and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, SQL, NoSQL databases).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI/ML services.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to articulate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Understanding of basic algorithms, object-oriented and functional design principles.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.

This position is located in Chantilly/Herndon, VA.
