A Swiss technology group specializing in robust connectivity solutions for data, signals and power supply is building an internal AI Lab to explore and validate AI business cases across the organization. They're looking for someone to take real business challenges from their production and industrial operations and turn them into working proofs of concept, from problem framing through pilot and go/no-go recommendation.
You'll get real ownership of your use cases from idea to pilot, mentorship from an experienced AI team, and hands-on exposure to genuine production-industry challenges plus a concrete portfolio of delivered POCs and pilots by the end of the assignment.
- Engaging with business stakeholders to clarify objectives and reframe them into testable problem statements
- Assessing and selecting the right approach per case (AI agent, LLM solution, or other AI/ML tool)
- Designing and building proofs of concept
- Deploying and running pilots under realistic conditions
- Evaluating pilot results against business requirements
- Documenting findings and making go/no-go recommendations
- Contributing to the Lab's knowledge base
- Degree or hands-on experience in computer science, data science or a related field
- Python proficiency, ideally with agentic workflows, APIs, automation or RAG-based applications
- CI/CD knowledge: testing, security, deployment and guardrails for production-ready solutions
- Problem framing: translating business needs into technical solutions, incl. judging when AI is the right approach
- Practical experience deploying agentic AI and traditional LLM-based applications
- Comfortable looking beyond AI agents/LLMs to workflow automation, ML, optimization or standard software when better suited
- Genuine interest in connecting technology to measurable business outcomes
- Nice to have: industrial/production exposure, prompt engineering, RAG, orchestration frameworks, MLOps fundamentals, ability to communicate results to non-technical audiences
- Fluent in English; French is a plus
- Start: ASAP
- Workload: 20-40%
- Work location: Remote acceptable; occasional on-site visits
