AI Business Analyst

WSD is looking to hire an eager and talented person to fill the role of a Technical Business Analyst.

As WSD’s Technical Business Analyst in the AI Team, you will work with WSD’s dedicated AI development and data teams to push WSD to be the worldwide market leader in AI within the structured finance industry. WSD has recently undergone significant investment – in both personnel and hardware – to enable AI within every aspect of the business. In this role, you will combine the traditional role of a Business Analyst with a technical developer who is able to automate processes within the AI team with hands-on work.

This role is part of WSD's AI team, but previous experience with AI is not required. The most important aspect is that you have a passion for developing technology, you are a fast learner, and you are keen to work with AI.

Responsibilities

As a Technical Business Analyst, your key responsibilities will be:

Strategic & Product Development

• Work with the product owner, developers and other internal stakeholders to design, plan and architect complex software.
• Understanding the business goals for WSD in the AI space and ensure the work completed by the AI team stay aligned to these goals.
• Work with the product owner to define the strategic vision for products to be sold on the market.
• Help to identify opportunities for product improvements and develop the business logic to solve product related problems by collaborating with others.

Process Analysis & AI Integration

• Work with teams across WSD to identify where AI can enhance existing processes, and work to push this integration forward.
• Identify areas for internal operational improvements.
• Prototyping/developing agentic workflows to automate manual tasks.

Technical & Development Support

• Developing data processing modules to help with data cleaning before training.
• Prototyping software to be built around WSD’s AI solutions.
• Writing scripts to automate data collection.
• Provide hands-on support to any aspect of the AI team where additional support is required.

Agile & Delivery Management

• Work with the product owner, developers and other internal stakeholders to appropriately capture feature requests and product enhancements, to translate them into detailed JIRA tickets.
• Test and validate new features and improvements on Staging & UAT environments and capture test results in relevant JIRA tickets ready to prepare them for deployment.
• Work with the product team to organize the product backlog and priorities tickets for upcoming sprints.

Key Skills

• NodeJS: Strong NodeJS scripting skills, with an interest in further development work with NodeJS.
• Python: Basic working knowledge of Python, and a willingness to learn.
• APIs: Proficient in working with HTTP APIs
• AI: An understanding of LLMs, how they can be used as an aid to automation, and/or how the machine learning/fine-tuning process works.
• Generalist: Not afraid to get stuck-in to any part of the team to ensure project delivery.
• Ticket Analysis and Resolution: Able to investigate and analyze tickets to add more information based on investigation and company-wide goals.
• Version Control: Knowledge of how to use version control systems such as Git and GitHub
• Containers: Understanding of Docker and Docker Compose
• Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment
• Cost-Benefit Analysis: Ability to build business cases for AI initiatives
• Soft Skills: Proficient problem-solving and communication skills
• Language: Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Technical Writing: Good technical writing skills to document processes, solutions effectively.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
