As part of Adtran internal AI roadmap, we are seeking an experienced AI Architect to work alongside a cross-functional team of developers and subject matter experts to design and implement enterprise-grade AI solutions that align with our business objectives. This role involves participating in the AI strategy execution, creating scalable architectures, and ensuring compliance with security and governance standards. The role encompasses setting up data structures and a data lake to serve as input for the various AI functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain AI architecture frameworks for enterprise applications

  • Develop a data strategy that includes a data lake and data structures subtending AI algorithms.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify AI use cases and translate them into technical solutions

  • Design and implement machine learning pipelines, data ingestion, and model deployment strategies

  • Ensure AI systems adhere to data privacy, security, and compliance requirements

  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend adoption strategies

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in AI/ML architecture and solution design

  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and AI services, with at least 5 years of practical experience

  • Demonstrated 5+  years of experience with generative AI and large language models

  • Expertise in data engineering, model lifecycle management, and MLOps

  • Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks

  • Familiarity with enterprise data pipelines/data lake architectures

  • Understanding of enterprise integration patterns and APIs

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Having implemented an AI architecture in an enterprise setting resolving problems with operations, sales or finance (demand planning, inventory management or forecasting)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with enterprise security and compliance frameworks

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, AI, or related field

  • Implementation of MCP interfaces and AI agents
