AI Application Engineer

We’re looking for a talented AI Application Engineer to join our growing team and contribute to the development of data-driven software solutions. You’ll work closely with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Software Engineers to turn ideas into robust, scalable applications. Your focus will be on backend development in Python, with some frontend work and operational responsibilities such as deployment, monitoring, and testing.

What your new challenge will look like

• Design, develop, and implement AI-driven applications and services that address complex business challenges and generate value for customers. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders, to translate business requirements into AI-based solutions. 

• Develop, integrate, and deploy AI models, algorithms, and APIs into scalable AI agentic designs 

• Contribute to AI architecture design, including model selection, data pipelines, deployment strategies, and scalability considerations. 

• Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade AI agents and multi-agent systems leveraging platforms such as AWS Bedrock AgentCore and related cloud-native AI services. 

• Evaluate and implement agent orchestration, memory, tool integration, observability, and governance capabilities to ensure scalable, reliable, and secure AI solutions in production environments. 

• Actively evaluate emerging AI technologies, models, frameworks, and development practices, identifying opportunities to improve product quality, engineering efficiency, scalability, and business impact. 

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across AI development processes, engineering standards, tooling, and technology stack, helping the team adopt industry best practices. 
   

Why you belong at 4flow

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field. 

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in developing and deploying AI-driven applications in real-world environments. 

• Strong programming skills in Python with experience building production-grade, maintainable software. 

• Practical experience with AI/ML frameworks. 

• Solid understanding of AI/ML algorithms, model training, evaluation, and optimization techniques. 

• Experience with RESTful APIs, AI model serving, and microservices-based architectures. 

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and cloud-native AI application deployment. 

• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and MLOps best practices is a strong advantage. 

• Hands-on experience with agentic AI platforms and frameworks, including AWS Bedrock AgentCore and LangGraph 

• Experience with data pipelines, feature engineering, and integrating AI models into backend systems. 

• Experience designing, deploying, and operating AI agents with capabilities such as tool calling, workflow orchestration, memory management, human-in-the-loop interactions, and observability. 

• Experience integrating foundation models and AI agents with enterprise systems and cloud services, preferably within AWS environments. 

• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted software development tools such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, or similar coding assistants to improve development productivity and software quality. 

• Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering AI-powered products, applications, or platforms to production, with adoption by a significant user base and measurable business impact. 

• Strong understanding of the rapidly evolving AI ecosystem and a passion for staying current with advances in foundation models, agentic frameworks, AI engineering practices, and developer tooling. 

• You communicate confidently in English 

• You are available to work in a hybrid model at our Campinas office
